1. Explain how to play this game.

In the Long Dark the goal is to survive while you try to complete the challenge.  Make sure you watch your status and try to keep them full when they get low your heath condition goes down. Then you just go exploring and looting different areas and try to stay alive.

Game Journalism Day 3 - TACKLE

Question 1: How many days to do you have to complete the challenge?

You have 7 days to complete the challenge.

Task 1:
What does it take to make fishing tackle?

To make a fishing tackle you'll need a hook and a line.

To craft a hook you will need a scrap metal.

I got mine from harvesting the tool box.

To craft a line you'll need a cured gut.

To get a cured gut you have to get a gut and leave it on the ground for 5 days. Or you find it in houses.

Once you get the items you need, you can craft the hook and the line at a work bench and craft your fishing tackle.

After when you got your fishing tackle you'll need to find a fishing hole. You can some in fishing huts on frozen lakes.

Before you can fish you'll have to open the hole with knife or hatchet.

Question 2: What did you do today?

I made a fishing tackle and went fishing. I walked to a house by a lake where I stayed at when I was making the items for the fishing tackle.

When I made the fishing tackle I left the house walked to one of the fishing huts on the lake by the house to fish.

Game Journalism Day 2 - Long Dark

Game Journalism Day 2 - SURVIVE 

Question 1: What is the challenge?

              The challenge I am playing is called Hopeless Rescue. The point of the challenge is to survive until you can recover the distress pistol from the summit of Tiberwolf Mountain and fire it from the top of the Desolation Point Lighthouse. 

Question 2: What did you do today?

      The first thing I did was make some water. I had to start the furnace first.

Then I melted some snow.

After you'll get unsafe water / non potable water and you'll have to boil it.

After you'll get potable water that you can drink.               
 When I finish making water I left the house and went looking around. I found different houses when I was going around exploring. I found a barn. 

I walked a bit then found a broken down house with only a furnace inside. I started up the furnace to heat up.

After I heated up I walked passed the house and found train tracks and another house. I went inside to loot,heat up and eat. After my character was tired and I went to bed.

Then I followed the train tracks and found some derailed railroad cars and a dead body. I also warmed up by starting a campfire.

                     

Then I went up a mountain and found a lookout.

I went inside to warm up and looted everything. I also saw another building on a different mountain. I went to it after I slept. On the way I found a rock thing.

Question 3: What is the charcoal for?

Charcoal is used for mapping stuff out on the map. You have to be outside and bring up your radial menu by using the space bar. Go to navigation and pull out the charcoal and hold left click.

Question 4: What survival tip do you have?  (Tips and tricks)

• If you are cold find a place or start a campfire to warm up.
• If you are sleeping outside make sure to have a campfire beside you and don't sleep for too long you might freeze to death.
• Don't walk off small drops you might break your ankles
• Have a flare on you to scare off animals
